It can be said that San Antonio North Central is considered to be the best community to raise a family. It has a low crime rate and it has a higher per capital of average household income, and it symbolizes much of what is new and great about San Antonio.
This part of the city is truly a melting pot of cultures. People all over America for different reasons have transferred to San Antonio North Central, and in the Christian spirit they have all made San Antonio North Central their home and have created some fantastic communities.
Many of the communities in San Antonio North Central are master plan communities and many of them enjoy common areas like parks, pools, or recreational facilities. These built in areas of the community enrich the lives of the entire family and give them an additional entertainment for the whole family.
There are several large public parks and some State Parks in San Antonio North Central. Many of these parks have waking trails and playgrounds. There are several parks that feature some sport facilities or they have the grounds to set up your own.
The best thing to be said about the lifestyle of San Antonio North Central is that there is deal of family spirit for the people looking for the family life, and there is a great night life for those who are single.
Economy of San Antonio North Central
San Antonio North Central enjoys a vibrant and growing economy. The tremendous population growth of this area has created many professional and service orientated jobs. Many corporate offices and several large and medium size businesses are located within San Antonio North Central.
In addition, San Antonio North Central is becoming the second largest concentration of medical offices in San Antonio. Baptist Health Systems Hospital and Methodist Hospital are located within San Antonio North Central. In addition, the largest HEB in the nation is located in San Antonio North Central.

San Antonio Antonio North Central largely resides in North East Independent School District (NEISD) NEISD .
LOCATION
The North East Independent School District spans approximately 144 square
miles in the north central and northeast sectors of Bexar County, Texas.
The majority of the district lies within the boundaries of the city of San
Antonio, but several smaller communities are also encompassed within North
East ISD, including the cities of Castle Hills, Hill Country Village, Hollywood
Park and Windcrest.
DISTRICT SIZE
Total student enrollment in North East ISD is projected to be more than
67,000 during the 2011-2012 school years. Forty-four elementary school s
are expected to serve about 31,800 students in pre-kindergarten through
5th grade. More than 15,600 students are expected to be enrolled in the
district’s 13 middle schools; and over 20,100 students are expected
to be enrolled in North East’s eight high schools plus Center School
(alternative campus), the Academy o f Creative Education (non -traditional
drop-out prevent ion campus) and the district’s high school magnet
programs.
ACCREDITATION
All campuses in North East ISD are fully accredited by the Texas Education
Agency. North East boasted 25 Exemplar y, 30 Recognized and 8 Academically
Acceptable schools in 2009-2010. In addition, North East has a National
Exemplary After-School Program at every elementary school and most middle
schools through its Community Education Department.
REGISTRATION
Eligibility: All students who reside within the boundaries of NorthEast
ISD are eligible for enrollment in district schools. However, the district
has limited new student enrollment at some campuses due to overcrowding.

Kindergarten and First Grade:
According to state law, a child who has reached five years of age on or
before September 1 of the current school year is eligible to attend kindergarten.
Children enrolling in first grade must be six years of age by September
1 of the current school year.
Please note: once a child is enrolled in public school, state attendance
laws will apply. Under the law, if a student is absent from school on 10
or more days or parts of days within a six-month period in the same school
year or on three or more days or parts of days within a four week period,
then (1) The student’s parent is subject to prosecution under Section
25.093 and (2) The student is subject to prosecution under Section 25.094
of the Texas Education Code.
TRANSPORTATION
Services are provided for all students living two or more miles from their
designated school of attendance. Some students may also receive transportation
along hazardous routes.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
North East ISD provides unique Gifted and Talented programs for all students,
grades kindergarten through 12. Career and Technology courses are offered
at middle and high school campuses. For high school students, North East
also offers the Agriscience Magnet Program at Madison; the Electrical Systems
Technology Program at MacArthur; the Design and Technology Academy and the
Engineering and Technologies Academy at Roosevelt; the Automotive Technology
Academy at the Perrin Central facility; and the International
School of the Americas, North East School of the Arts and the Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics Academy at Lee. Students interested in any of
these programs should contact their campus counselor.
A full range of bilingual and special education programs are available to
students. Special education programs are available to students who qualify
and for whom the ARD/IEP committee has determined an educational need for
special education. Both mainstream and self-contained special education
services are available. Persons wishing to initiate a referral for special
education should contact the child’s home school.
